I happened to spot this amazing piece of driftwood in the back of this consignment shop – about to be thrown away! Needless to say, that didn’t happen. I knew the arrangement I was going to make had to be intertwined around and through the crevices of these arches. So, for one of my clients who hires me to come in regularly to add flowers to her home, this one was created especially for her. The placement is always the same – in the kitchen. It’s the first thing she sees when she wakes up and goes downstairs, and it’s also the last thing she sees before she leaves for work in the morning, so design-wise, I always keep this in mind when I’m creating arrangements there. Overall, I know whatever I choose will need to be bright and cheery, calming and peaceful. Using this incredible piece of driftwood as the focal point gives this piece its distinctive beauty, while the pink Anthuriums, Orchids and Goldenrod share the spotlight. This is still one of her favorites and would be perfect if you’re entertaining guests or just wanting something to brighten up your space.
